     JJC's father, John Carter Collison, died the same year he was born. J.J.C. came to Canada in 1889. First to Manitoba and than on to Victoria, British Columbia in 1906. Owned, out right or co-owned several busniess, one of them being Collison Paper. Died on the operating table while under going gallbladder surgery. Sailed via sailing ship to Hawaii and the Far East on goods buying trips in the early 1900's for his business. His home in the Uplands, Victoria, British Columbia was called Bilney.
