In early 1994 Lily and her husband suffered extreme inhalation of carbon monoxide from a faulty flue in a wood burning stove. Lily became mentally incompetant and extremely frail physically and her affairs were placed in the hands of a Receiver. She and husband then moved into a home in Winchester and where they were comfortably looked after until Lilies death.
